INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): House Speaker Brian Bosma has announced the committees for the upcoming General Assembly. Committee assignments are made biennially after each election. The session begins January 6.

In statement released today, Bosma said.

“I am confident in the abilities of each of these leaders, and I know they are all eager to begin their work,” said Speaker Bosma.
Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.

“I firmly believe that committees are the workhorses of the institution. I look forward to being a part of a new generation of leaders as they shepherd important bills through our legislative process,” said Speaker Bosma.
