Indiana man accused of kidnapping estranged wife

RICHMOND, Ind. (AP):  An eastern Indiana man is facing an August trial on charges that he allegedly he kidnapped his estranged wife along a highway.

Forty-six-year-old Todd A. Stigleman of Cambridge City appeared for an initial hearing Tuesday on kidnapping, criminal confinement and stalking charges. He was released after posting bail on a $100,000 surety bond after a judge set his trial for Aug. 5.

Wayne County Sheriff Jeff Cappa tells the Palladium-Item (http://pinews.co/1o60BO4 ) that Stigleman allegedly kidnapped his wife on April 24 near Cambridge City.

Capp says Stigleman, who's separated from his wife, allegedly began following her on Interstate 70. He's accused of stopping his wife's car at an I-70 exit ramp, blocking it with his vehicle before he allegedly forced her into his car and drove away.
