Indiana officials respond to Orlando terror attack

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Many state lawmakers are commenting on the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando that happened early Sunday morning, killing 49 people and wounding more than 50.

Governor Mike Pence has ordered flags to be lowered to half staff through Thursday, saying he and his family are shocked and saddened by what happened, calling it a “grave reminder” that we live in dangerous times.

Senator Joe Donnelly called the shooting “tragic and heartbreaking,” with Senator Dan Coats referring to the attack as “senseless violence.”

The shooter claimed to be affiliated with ISIS before he was shot and killed by police.
