INDIANA, (WOWO) – The Indiana Chamber, Wellness Council of Indiana and state officials are encouraging employers to take an anonymous substance use and recovery survey.

The online survey will assess business perceptions, attitudes, knowledge and current practices related to substance abuse and prevention in the workplace.

This comes after the Indiana Chamber and the Wellness Council of Indiana announced the Indiana Workforce Recovery Initiative in February, a strategic partnership with Governor Eric Holcomb and his administration to combat the opioid epidemic.

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and covers the perceived prevalence and impact of substance abuse in the workforce; the extent the components of a drug-free workplace program are being administered; frequency of job-seekers and employees testing positive for drugs; attitudes and practices around second chances for those who test positive; knowledge of available resources and much more.
