Indiana to Begin Processing Tax Returns on Friday

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The Indiana Department of Revenue will begin processing individual income tax returns on Friday. The department is encouraging taxpayers to electronically file federal and state returns. The department says it will offer qualified taxpayers a free filing service called Indiana freefile to file their federal and state taxes online. The department says returns filed electronically are processed in 10 to 14 days, while a paper return can take up to 12 weeks.
