INDOT Update For Tuesday Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is preparing for snowfall that's expected to start Tuesday evening.  Accumulations could be as much as 9 inches by Thursday.

The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory starting Tuesday night until Thursday morning ending at 1 a.m.

INDOT reports crews are prepared to plow and treat interstate, U.S. highways, and state routes to make roadway conditions as safe as possible.  They are encouraging drivers to plan ahead before traveling to any New Year’s Eve celebrations. They say despite INDOT crews clearing the roads, drivers should be careful and only travel if necessary.
