Indy Man Arrested in Connection with Double-Fatal

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) — State Police have arrested an Indianapolis man in connection with an August motorcycle crash that killed two people along Interstate 74.

Thirty-four-year-old Michael Percifield was arrested Friday at a residence in the Hamilton County town of Cicero. He remained held Saturday at the Hamilton County Jail on a felony charge of leaving the scene of a fatal crash.

Investigators say witnesses and physical evidence indicate Percifield was riding a motorcycle on August 4ththat allegedly made contact with a second motorcycle that then crashed along I-74 on Indianapolis' far southeast side.

Two Indianapolis residents who were on that motorcycle, 41-year-old Devon Criswell and 23-year-old Jacquelynn M. Lewis, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Percifield is accused of leaving the scene of that crash without stopping.
