FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Someone setting fire to unoccupied homes on the northeast side of Fort Wayne may have struck again this morning.

Fort Wayne firefighters were dispatched to a home on Walden Run, a couple of blocks west of Maplecrest, at about 4:20 this morning to deal with a house fire. It took crews about a half hour to bring the blaze under control, and nobody was hurt.

Jeff Bowman of our Partners in News at 21Alive reports that arson investigators were on the scene as they tried to determine if this fire is connected to eight others in the northeast side of town, particularly the Blackhawk and Oakhurt neighborhoods, that officials have determined are the work of an arsonist.
