Investigators: NW Ind. home explosion intentional…

BUFFALO, Ind. (AP) _ State Fire Marshal’s Office investigators believe an explosion that leveled a small summer home in northwest Indiana was intentionally set.

Spokesman Garret Walton says investigators have ruled the cause of the fire as “incendiary.” He says the White County Sheriff’s Department is in charge of the rest of the investigation. White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer said Friday his department was working with the Fire Marshall’s Office on the investigation.

An unoccupied home near the small town of Buffalo, about 30 miles north of Lafayette, exploded early Monday. No injuries were reported.
