Komet Legend Gerry Randall Passes


FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO) _ Former Komet goaltender Gerry Randall passed away Thursday morning at the age of 70 after battling cancer.

Randall led all International Hockey League (IHL) goaltenders during his first season with the Komets in 1965-66.

Randall and his wife Janice of 46 years have a son David and a daughter Stacie and three grandkids.  After retiring from Hockey, Randall became a grocery merchandiser until he retired in 2002.

Services are pending through D.O. McComb and Sons, Lakeside.
