FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One of the biggest games in Fort Wayne Komets history is going to take place tonight in Toledo.
The Komets will play Game 7 of their playoff series against the Toledo Walleye at 7:35 PM tonight. The Komets have forced, and won, three overtime games this series to get to this point.
However, the Komets are 0 and 5 this season in Toledo, and that's causing General Manager David Franke to change things up. “Doing the routine and normal game day routine fora close-by road game is something they wanted to do. They actually came to the coach and said 'we don't want to go up the day before or the night before, we want to go up the day of the game.'”
And so, the Komets practiced in Fort Wayne today before hopping the bus to Toledo. They'll be in their orange uniforms tonight when the puck drops.
You can hear tonight's pivotal Game 7 between the Komets and Walleye starting with pregame at 7:15 on 1190 WOWO, 92.3 FM.
