LaGrange County boy recovering after being hit by car

LAGRANGE, Ind. (WOWO):  A 4-year-old boy was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital after being hit by a car in LaGrange County on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a woman driving a 2012 Chrysler 200 was driving eastbound when she went to pass a horse and buggy. While passing, a 4-year-old boy ran across the road.

The driver told police she tried to stop, but couldn’t in time. Her vehicle hit the child.

The boy was airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with complaints to his abdomen and sides.

Police have not said the condition he’s in and are investigating the crash.
