MORRISTOWN, Ind. (AP) _ A small central Indiana town's landmark restaurant damaged by fire four months ago is expected to reopen soon after an extensive remodeling.
Donna Tracy says her family is on schedule to reopen the Bluebird Restaurant in the Shelby County town of Morristown on April 28. The restaurant was heavily damaged in a fire that destroyed the adjacent Long Branch Saloon.
Tracy tells The Shelbyville News that the restaurant is accepting reservations for Mother's Day and anticipates a good crowd.
The family plans to also rebuild the Long Branch Saloon, but doesn't yet have a timetable since reopening the Bluebird has been the priority.
Marjorie Tracy says the family appreciates the public's support since the fire and hopes to have the restaurant bright and shiny for its reopening.
