Latest plans for The Landing unveiled

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The latest plans for The Landing was unveiled Thursday night.

CEO of Model Group Steve Smith said the slogan for the project is “Making history again” during an event called “The Landing Unveiled,” according to our news partners at 21Alive. Smith wants Columbia Street to come to life again.

The Trust has selected the development firm Model Group to handle the redevelopment of the Landing.

Fort Wayne leaders want The Landing to cement downtown Fort Wayne as “a regional destination for all of northeast Indiana.”

Bo Gonzalez, owner of Bravas, is the first tenant who has committed to open there.

Construction on the $35.7 million project is set to start next June, according to the Journal Gazette. Occupancy should be in Sept. 2018.
