Local Colleges Compete in “Food-Fight”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A friendly rivalry of local colleges looks to put a dent in hunger in Northeast Indiana.

It's a food-fight of sorts. IPFW, the University of St. Francis, IVY Tech, Huntington and Indiana Tech are pitted against each to collect food for Community Harvest Food Bank's U Can Crush Hunger drive.

From October 19 to 31, participants hope to collect more than 100,000 pounds of food. Officials with the food bank say its one of their largest events of the year.

Food collected will go to Community Harvest Food Bank. Donations of food and cash are accepted. To find out more contact Community Harvest or the university of your choice.
