Machinery Upgrades at Local Door Manufacturer Creates Jobs

BUTLER, Ind. (WOWO): New machinery at the Therma-Tru Doors plant in Butler will open up new jobs.

According to the Journal Gazette, Therma-Tru currently employs 720 people at their Butler facility. New machinery will be installed over the next three years and create an additional 105 jobs.

The Butler City Council is expected to vote on the company’s application for a tax abatement on Monday.  If approved, the proposal would give the company a 10-year abatement on the new machinery.

Therma-Tru is said to be the nation’s largest maker of fiberglass and steel exterior doors.
