Man Charged with Molesting 3 Girls at Wife’s In-Home Daycare

GREENCASTLE, Ind. (AP) _ Indiana State Police have arrested a western Indiana man for allegedly molesting three girls ages 4-7 at his wife's in-home daycare nearly a decade ago.

Detectives arrested 64-year-old Michael Nussbaum of rural Greencastle on Thursday morning and charged him with eight counts of child molesting. He was being held in the Putnam County Jail in Greencastle, about 40 miles west of Indianapolis.

Police say the crimes allegedly occurred in 2006 or 2007 in or near the unlicensed daycare that's no longer in operation.

The arrests followed a grand jury indictment and an investigation that began in mid-May 2014 when the Putnam County Department of Child Services contacted state police.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Nussbaum has an attorney who might comment on the case.
