FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): The driver of a motorcycle is in critical condition after a crash on Leesburg Road.

Just before 7:30 p.m., Fort Wayne police arrived on the scene and found the motorcyclist unconscious and unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Initial reports indicate he was traveling northbound on Leesburg Road.  According to witnesses he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a curb. He then lost control and struck a light pole. 

Investigators believe speed and alcohol were both contributing factors in the crash.
