Man killed while walking on I-65 in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Authorities say a man was struck and killed while walking in a traffic lane of Interstate 65 in Indianapolis.

State police say the man was dead at the scene after being hit about 2:30 a.m. Friday near the I-65 and I-465 interchange on the city's northwest side. Indianapolis television stations report several drivers called police to report that a man wearing dark clothing was walking on the highway.

Police say two cars hit the man, with one of the vehicles ending up in a ditch. Both drivers stopped and weren't badly hurt.

Authorities didn't immediately identify the man who was killed or say why he might have been walking on the highway.
