FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's 50 years in in prison for beating death.

A local judge has sentenced 34-year-old Michael Alexander of Auburn for the 2012 beating death of 42-year-old Gregory Funich in Fort Wayne, that's according to the Journal-Gazette.

Alexander had pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Court documents say the two had been drinking and had engaged in consensual behavior.

The article states, A defense attorney for Alexander said, Funich disclosed that he had “a disease” that Alexander “might now have.” Funich was discovered in his Alexander's with a crushed skull.
