Man Suffers Broken Neck in Crash

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The passenger of a single-vehicle crash suffered a broken neck in a drunk driving crash overnight.

Indiana State Police say Michael Grim, 47, of Columbia City, was riding with Susan Janes, 45, of Columbia City, when Janes crashed her 1998 Nissan on Willow Avenue near Shriner Lake.

Police say Janes was driving northbound on Willow Avenue, left the road way, went over a curb and crashed into a parked car in a yard.

Grim was transported to a hospital with a broken neck, but his condition was not released.

Janes was arrested on charges on of operating while intoxicated. No injuries were reported for Janes.
