Traffic started rolling across the long-awaited Maplecrest Road extension earlier today, ahead of the re-scheduled opening at 2:00 this afternoon.  The road went into service with little or no fanfare. A dedication ceremony which was to take place yesterday will be held this Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.  The $30 million extension now makes travel between Fort Wayne and New Haven a lot easier and takes several railroad crossings out of the equation.
