GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): One person is dead after a trench collapsed in Marion last night. The Grant County Sheriff's Department was called to County Road 406 South in Marion just after 7:00 P.M. to where a trench had collapsed onto Ross Hoffman, the homeowner, and a family friend and Sheriff's Deputy Jason Ewer. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, both men were pulled from the trench and taken to a hospital. Hoffman later died at the hospital.
