Milford Woman Arrested for Neglect of a Dependent

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Milford woman has been arrested for neglect of a dependent.

The case goes back to November, when The Indiana Department of Child Services received a call from Kosciusko Community Hospital about an infant that had suffered bone fractures and a scalp damage.

When questioned by authorities, Emily Zartman said she had propped the infant up with a pillow to change its diaper and the infant then fell off of the bed. But according to Doctors, the child's injuries were inconsistent with the story Zartman offered. She was charged this week after authorities determined injuries were NOT accidental. Zartman is being held in Kosciusko County jail on a $10,000 bond.
