More Local Events for National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): We told you yesterday about some local efforts to mark National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Today includes a tour where individuals can go downtown to get a look at shelters and service providers in the area as well as tour the Rescue Mission. The two tours start at noon and 4:30 P.M. at The Rescue Mission, where a tour guide will talk about the shelters and services.  The Fort Wayne Planning Council estimates that approximately 2,500 people are homeless in Fort Wayne, and the group hopes to raise awareness and find solutions to address homelessness.  The Rescue Mission is located at  301 W. Superior St.
