Motorcycle Rider Dies After Hitting Sign

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO):  A Michigan motorcycle rider has died after he veered off the main road and struck a sign.

43 year old Michael R. Lofton from Quincy, Michigan was traveling westbound on CR 300 N just east of CR 1100 W when his Harley Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and struck a sign off the road.  He continued into a farm field.  Lofton was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
