JAY COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A murder charge has been filed for a Jay County man accused of killing a five week old girl.

21 year old Dalton Davis was living in the home with the child and the child's mother. Jay County officers and medics went to the home Tuesday morning after a 911 call. They discovered five week old Lillian Grace Lloyd wasn't breathing and she was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. 

Our partners in news at 21Alive say they have early reports that the child died of severe blunt force trauma. An autopsy was performed, but the official cause of death won't be known for several weeks. 

Davis is being held without bond at the Jay County Security Center.
