FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Nearly 5300 volunteers and 250 groups will take to the streets, trails and riverbanks this weekend as part of the City’s Great American Cleanup on Saturday May 17th.

All of the individuals taking part in the event represent churches, youth groups, schools, businesses, neighborhood associations, and families.

Last year, Fort Wayne volunteers collected nearly 200,000 pounds of debris during the cleanup.
