FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's a brand new, bouncing, baby Sumatran Orangutan.
The baby, a female, was born Saturday at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. It's good news, because she's part of a critically endangered species. By some estimates, they could be extinct in a few decades.
The baby is doing well, according to zookeepers, but they are a little nervous because her mother has never raised a baby or witnessed another mother with a baby. So he's proving to be a good mother.
By the way, if you want to find a personalized gift for the baby, hold off for now, She has yet to be given a name.
You can see photos in the weeks to come on the zoo's social media pages.
