New Dog Park Coming to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): On Tuesday, the Fort Wayne City Council approved construction of a new dog park at Johnny Appleseed Park.

The Journal Gazette reports the new park will be modeled after the Pawster Park dog park, located in Foster Park West on Winchester Road.

The new park will cost just under $155,000 to construct. Dog owners must purchase a Pooch Pass for $40 that can be used at the new facility as well as Foster Park West.</span>

The passes show dogs have had their rabies shot, distemper shot, and all other necessary vaccinations. Passes can be obtained at the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Office, located on E. State Street.
