Nigerian Man Accused of Theft in Kosciuskco County

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Nigerian man was arrested in Atlanta, after using a fake identity to steal money from a Kosciusko County woman.

Police reports say the man used an alias to convince the woman to wire a large amount of money to him.

44-year-old Kazeem Owonla used the alias of John Tony Hagan to converse with the woman online, along with potentially two other victims, in order to obtain large amounts of wired money.

The man was on a flight from Nigeria to Atlanta and will be held there until they can gather more evidence.
