Obamacare Enrollment Opens Saturday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):   This weekend the Indiana Health Insurance Marketplace opens for the second enrollment period under Obamacare.

An estimated 600,000 people in Indiana are without health care coverage.  Regional director of the Department of Health and Human Services Kathleen Falk says Hoosiers have many more options because the number of insurers for 2015 has jumped from four to nine.

Falk encourages current enrollees under Obamacare to update their applications and compare options to ensure they have a plan that best fits their needs for 2015. The enrollment period runs through February 15th.  For those who want their coverage to begin at the start of the new year, they must enroll by December 15th at www.healthcare.gov or by calling 211 in Indiana for more information.
