CLEVELAND (AP) _ Officials say a former U.S. Post Office postmaster in Ohio has been sentenced to 10 months in federal prison for stealing more than $57,000 in money and postage.

Sixty-six-year-old Ann Apana was arrested in July and pleaded guilty to theft of property used by the Postal Service.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said Thursday that the former Gates Mills postmaster took more than $38,000 in money and merchandise from the postal service between June 2009 and June 2014.

Officials say the woman also bought more than $18,000 in postage using customers' credit card information.
