One Arrested in Two-County Motorcycle Chase

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A high speed motorcycle chase that led police from northern DeKalb County into Steuben County, has police looking for one suspect and another in custody.

Late Monday night, authorities in Waterloo spotted the duo speeding on DeKalb County Road 39. That set-off a chase that reached 115 miles per hour. The chase covered more than 10 miles through Pleasant Lake and into Angola.

One of the motorcyclists, 27-year-old Covey Salinas of Lenoxville, Pennsylvania hit at vehicle near the Monument in Downtown Angola. He had to be tazed as he attempted to flee.

He's charged with resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness, reckless driving , false registration and expired plates and operating without a motorcycle endorsement – among other charges in DeKalb County. He's also facing charges in Steuben County.

The other suspect continued north near the Indiana Toll Road before the chase was ended by police.
