One in serious condition after weekend shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One person is in serious condition after a weekend shooting on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

It happened early Saturday morning, according to Fort Wayne Police Department spokesman Michael Joyner.

A single victim that had been shot multiple times showed up at an area hospital at about 1:45am, 15 minutes after police got a call about shots being fired in the 4700 block of Bowser Avenue, near Oliver Street. Officers investigating in that area found shell casings on the sidewalk in front of a house.

The victim was initially in critical condition but has since been upgraded to serious condition.
