FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – An online petition has amassed more than 3,000 signatures from those who want the State of Indiana to take action after Harrison College abruptly closed its doors earlier this month, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

The petition states the President and CEO of Harrison College, Craig F. Pfannenstiehl, announced via email that Harrison College would be closing on September 16, 2018. Students and faculty had a two-day warning.

The petition alleges Mr. Pfannenstiehl knew the college was closing and still advertised enrollment and accepted tuition for the fall quarter, which was planned to start September 24.

The petition ends with a paragraph asking for signatures, stating:

“Please sign the petition demanding that Craig F. Pfannenstiehl, the officers and directors of Educational Management Corporation (EMC) face a criminal and civil investigation for fraud, as well as other criminal and civil wrong-doings by the State of Indiana.”

You can read the full petition here.

When Harrison College posted notice of its immediate closure on September 14, officials said updates would follow. No updates have yet been posted.
