Owen County authorities seize over 50 dogs seized from home

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) : Authorities in Owen County say they seized over 50 dogs from a home.

The animals are being taken to the Owen County Humane Society and being evaluated for health conditions and malnourishment.

WTHI in Terre Haute reports that the owner of the property cooperated with the sheriff’s office while the animals were seized and the owner is expected in court on Friday.

Owen County Sheriff Leonard Sam Hobbs says there aren’t words to describe the situation.
