Parents Accused Of Severe Neglect Of 2-Year-Old Twins

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ Two parents in central Indiana are accused of neglecting their 2-year-old twins, who police say were taken to a hospital for severe malnutrition.

The Indianapolis Star reports 38-year-old Stephen Auker and 32-year-old Kimberly Robinson have been charged with four felony counts of neglect of a dependent. Police say the health of their two other young children was also in “rapid decline,'' and their home was littered with animal feces, diapers and trash.

The Herald Bulletin reports the twins spent 10 days at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. An affidavit says the twins weren't able walk, talk, crawl, stand or eat solid foods when they were hospitalized June 12.

Robinson's attorney told the Star he couldn't comment at this time. A message seeking comment was sent to an attorney listed for Auker.
