ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (AP) – Indiana Gov. Mike Pence's mother says she thinks her son would make a good U.S. president just not yet.
Nancy Pence Fritsch said during a Tuesday visit to St. Mary-of-the-Woods College that first she wants her son “to be my governor for two terms.'' The Republican lawmaker is serving his first term as Indiana governor. He was elected in 2012.
The Terre Haute Tribune Star reports (http://bit.ly/1zaRgIG ) Pence's 82-year-old mother says after he serves two terms as Indiana governor it would be “wonderful'' if he ran for president.
Pence Fritsch says Pence has much to offer, citing attributes like honesty, reliability and truthfulness.
Pence Fritsch graduated from the college's distance education program in 1995. She was the college to hear Pence's speech to the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce.
