Police arrest two in drug raid

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police arrested two people last night in a drug raid of a house on Pennsylvania Avenue.

It happened at about 7:46pm Monday near the intersection with Edsall Avenue and was prompted by several traffic stops, neighbor tips, and surveillance. Police executed a search warrant and found a pistol, cocaine, an unregistered “AR-style” weapon, oxycodone pills, narcotics paraphernalia, and one pound of marijuana that had been partially flushed down a toilet.

20-year-old Airon Mitchell was arrested for dealing marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of a narcotic drug, and maintaining a common nuisance.

43-year-old Owanna Mitchell was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
