Police Impersonators Ransack Home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Last night at 10:00 P.M. police were called to Bunt Drive near East Paulding Drive on the report of an armed robbery. When officers got to the scene, a victim told police that around 8:30 P.M., someone announced they were with the Fort Wayne Police Department and that they were doing a raid. They kicked the door in and came into the house, told the woman and her 3 grandchildren to get on the floor, then ransacked the back room of the house. The grandmother said the suspects had handguns and are described as two young black men, one wearing a red bandana, one 5' 10″ and one 6' 2″. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and a flip phone before leaving the house.
