Police: Indiana University Employee had Child Pornography

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – Police say an Indiana University employee downloaded child pornography onto a school-issued laptop.

The 32-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possession of child pornography. Police say they've found at least 30 images of child pornography on the man's university-owned laptop.

University spokesman Mark Land told The (Bloomington) Herald-Times (http://bit.ly/1K7RTtK ) that the staff member was fired Wednesday. He worked in the school's Office of Student Ethics.

Bloomington Police Capt. Joe Qualters said an IP address led investigators to a computer at Indiana University that may have been used to upload an inappropriate image to an email account.

Quaulters said authorities got a court order to find out who was associated with the IP address, which led them to the now-fired employee.
