Police investigate death of NBA player’s brother

(WOWO News)

MARION, Ind. (WOWO): The brother of an NBA basketball player was found shot to death in the parking lot of a business in Marion Saturday morning.

Police in Grant County say an officer leaving the police station heard several gunshots fired near Hop’s Blues Room around 5am and went to investigate.

He found Roger Randolph outside the business, shot in the abdomen and lying between two cars in the parking lot. Randolph was dead before the officer got there.

He was the brother of NBA player and former Marion basketball star, Zach Randolph, who plays for the Sacramento Kings. Police are still looking for the shooter.

A day later, that same business was intentionally set on fire, and firefighters say $20,000 worth of damage was done to the building.
