Police Make 6 More Anderson Heroin Arrests

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) – A central Indiana police task force has made six more heroin trafficking arrests, bringing to 14 the number of arrests linked to a ring stretching to New York.

WTHR reports the Madison County Drug Task Force arrested six Anderson residents on Wednesday and that two other suspects remain at large. Each faces charges of dealing heroin.

The investigation started earlier this year. Eight suspects were arrested in August for what investigators said was the largest heroin trafficking organization investigated by the task force. Authorities say the heroin originated in New York and found its way to Indianapolis before being distributed to dealers in Madison County.
