Police Respond to 12-car Pileup on St. Joe Center Rd.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police responded to a massive 12-car pile-up on St. Joe Center Road after the heavy snow and ice Tuesday evening.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, it was around 8:45 p.m. when the westbound lanes of the St. Joe Center Road Bridge were shut down, while police responded to the wreckage.

Drivers say the ice made it difficult to stop. Police say they responded to a number of crashes yesterday and Allen County is still under a travel advisory.
