LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department is searching for someone who stopped their vehicle in the middle of a road and shot a horse.

The shooting happened near 3000 East 100 North in LaGrange County late Wednesday morning, according to our news partners 21Alive.

An unknown person stopped in front of a home. Witnesses said they heard two gunshots before the vehicle sped away, traveling east.

The horse was later put to sleep by veterinary personnel, according to FOX 28.
