Possible compromise on Fort Wayne annexation plan could be on the way

(Tom Franklin/WOWO Radio)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There could be a compromise on the way for Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry’s North IV Annexation proposal.

Some members of the City Council apparently plan on proposing a smaller annexation, according to our partners in news at 21Alive, instead of Henry’s 23-square-mile proposal, that would only annex larger subdivisions that are already on the city’s water and sewer systems.

The Mayor’s office has indicated they’re willing to take a look at the compromise.

The annexation plan as it is faces a council agenda date of May 10th for a vote on its fiscal portion.
