Possible Severe Weekend Weather

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. (WOWO): A storm front is making its way towards us that could bring significant showers and thunderstorms later in the weekend.

The national weather service says a cold front could drop more than a foot of snow on the Cascade and Rocky Mountains. In this area, the system will mix with gulf coast moisture to power the storms here in the Great Lakes region. It looks like it would hit Sunday.

Right now there is the possibility of strong winds in excess of 70 miles per hour with possibility of isolated thunderstorm and even tornadoes.

Forecasters say there's still some uncertainty so stay tuned to WOWO throughout the weekend for updates.
