Production Continues after Sunday Morning Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A fire early Sunday morning will have no impact production at Fort Wayne Metals.

Company officials announced Monday, damage was contained to one tank and one vent hood. According to a statement from the company, they switched production to another tank.

The company says no one was harmed and the building on Ardmore Avenue did not sustain any structural damage. No chemicals leaked into the environment.

 

The fire was reported around 4 a.m. Sunday morning, and took about 10 minutes to bring under control.
