Proposal for Former Indy GM Plant Includes Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): One of four finalists seeking to redevelop a General Motors Corp. stamping plant that once employed more than 6,000 workers near downtown Indianapolis is considering using part of the land for a 10,000-seat soccer stadium. Reports say Keystone Group President Ersal Ozdemir wants to build a stadium where his Indy Eleven of the North American Soccer League franchise would play. The team is expected to begin play in April.
